Small, easily concealed firearms for personal defense often sacrifice magazine capacity for slimmer or shorter grip profiles. The compromise is especially evident in today’s polymer-frame, single-stack semi-automatics and down-sized double-stacks. Hyve Technologies is offering shooters a boost in the form of extended magazine baseplates that increase capacity by one, two or three rounds. Initial offerings are limited, but represent some of the most popular carry options, including the Smith & Wesson Shield, Glock 19 and Glock 43. Price: $21-$28.
