Equipped with synthetic detachable magazines, the Mini Action Rifles from Howa feature short-action receivers that are scaled down by approximately 12 percent compared to the industry standard size. Factory options include two barrel lengths and three contours chambered in .204 Ruger, .222 Rem., .223 Rem., 6.5 mm Grendel and 7.62x39 mm. The latter two chamberings utilize five-round magazines, whereas the former three are supplied with 10-rounders. Additional features include a three-position safety and a forged, one-piece, two-lug bolt—and all guns are backed by the company’s lifetime warranty and sub-m.o.a. guarantee. Synthetic stock options in five colors (Kryptek Highlander camouflage shown) are available, as are packages with Nikko Stirling optics. Price: $608 to $855.
