An armed 24-year-old Nevada man was in the right place at the right time to help stop an armed robbery attempt at a shopping mall in Anchorage, Alaska. The armed citizen came across a security guard wrestling on the ground with an 18-year-old suspect, and when the guard yelled “Gun, gun, gun,” he jumped into action. Drawing his firearm, the man instructed the thief to drop his weapon and surrender, which he did. “I carry, not because I am looking for something to happen, but because something could happen,” the Nevada man later told reporters.
