Most of us are aware of the modern “farm to table” food trend, so why not “store to field” or "store to range" when it comes to buying a firearm? Savage Arms has come up with a solution in its newly launched A17 XP scope-package gun that features a Bushnell A17 scope—already mounted and boresighted. More good news is that shipments of this new rifle are already landing on dealers' shelves.

The Savage A17 platform, when it was introduced in 2015, was the first reliable high-performance semi-automatic rimfire specifically designed for the 17 HMR cartridge. American Rifleman offered two feature stories on the rifle, as well as an article on the CCI A17 .17 HMR ammo, which you can enjoy here:

  • 10-round rotary magazine
  • User-adjustable AccuTrigger
