The .380 ACP is a common caliber for handgun manufacturers, but not-so-common is a .380-cal. carbine. Now Hi-Point Firearms has now added the popular round to its existing line of 9 mm, .40 S&W and .45-cal. carbines—largely because of the availability of high-quality ammo in that cartridge these days—but also as a companion carbine for those who already own a .380-cal. handgun. The low-recoiling carbine might be an ideal choice when looking to transition a rimfire shooter up to a center-fire without causing much consternation to the shoulder. In early summer, the entire made-in-America Hi-Point carbine line will be offered in dipped patterns (Desert Digital, Muddy Girl and a sticks-and-leaves).
