The handheld Harvey Deprimer provides a simple means of removing spent primers without the use of a bench-mounted press.
No dies or shellholders are required. Crafted in Oregon from 6061 aluminum, the 5-inch-long, 8-ounce unit accommodates cartridges ranging in size from .20 cal. upward, provided that the case measures no longer than 3.075 inches and the body and rim widths do not exceed 0.62 inches and 0.75 inches, respectively.
The Remington Ultra Magnum and Weatherby Magnum families of cartridges, as well as the .45-100, fit within those specifications. For the utmost durability, the depriming pin, which measures 0.06 inches in diameter, is made from 01 tool steel hardened to 52C Rockwell. Price: $50.
