Far more than a concealed-carry waist pack, Kifaru’s Koala is a modular 800-cubic-inch bag that can be used separately or as a pocket on full-size packs and other platforms with MOLLE or PALS webbing.

The U.S.-made Koala is constructed of 1,000-denier Cordura nylon with heavy-duty stitching and zippers throughout. It features a large main compartment, several slot pockets and a tear-open hook-and-loop-covered panel that securely holds a handgun and extra ammunition at the ready for split-second access.

Exterior compression straps and PALS webbing accommodate bottle holders and other pouches, and a host of Kifaru accessories, such an X-Harness and waist strap provide various modes of carry including over the shoulder, on the chest and on a backpack. Various pistol and magazine holsters are available at additional cost. Price: $142.
