In Saginaw, Texas, two men attempted to rob a homeowner inside his garage at 5:45 p.m. One of the men allegedly drew a gun. In response, the homeowner pulled out his firearm and shot one of the men; that man died from his injuries. The other man reportedly fled from the scene and was at large. Police say that the homeowner is not currently facing any charges. (cbsdfw.com, Saginaw, Texas, 8/11/19)

An ex-military homeowner chased a criminal suspected of multiple infractions from his home early one Monday morning. After discovering the unwanted intruder in his home, the 52-year-old homeowner pulled a pistol from his nightstand and confronted the man, prompting him to flee. The suspect then ran to a neighbor's house and attempted to sexually assault her before she was able to call for help. Police apprehended the intruder a short time later down the road.
