A Chicago, Ill., man defended himself when another allegedly tried to attack him with a knife on June 1, 2022.

The 36-year-old man was inside his garage around 2 p.m. that Wednesday afternoon, when another individual approached from the street. the stranger approached the man, with a knife held in hand. In response to the sudden threat, cornered in his own garage, the resident produced a firearm and shot his would-be assailant.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the intruder deceased from a gunshot to the head. The resident was luckily uninjured during the incident. (fox32chicago.com, Chicago, Ill., 06/01/2021)

A crime spree ended when a man who had tried to rob two other grocery stores in Milwaukee, Wis., entered Jamal Masoed's grocery and began beating the owner with a piece of concrete. Masoed fell to the floor and grabbed a handgun from under the counter. Firing twice, the owner critically wounded his attacker. (The Sentinel, Milwaukee Wis.)
