Two women are hospitalized in Cincinnati, Ohio, after allegedly assaulting a woman inside her vehicle, who opened fire to stop the attack.

Police say the victim was inside of her car early on Friday, July 12, when two other women came up to her and began attacking her with rocks. The driver drew a firearm and shot the two women to stop the assault. A later investigation revealed the extent of the damage to the victim's vehicle, which had its side and back windows broken and tires flattened.

Both of the assault suspects were transported to a local hospital for treatment, one with life-threatening injuries. The investigation is currently ongoing. (FOX 19 NOW; Cincinnati, Ohio; 7/12/24)

Mrs. Louis Romano of North Stonington, Conn., found that burglars had been breaking into her home. So, accompanied by her daughter, she staked out the house with a shotgun. When the two women heard footsteps inside the house, they entered, capturing two teen burglars and held them until police came. (The Day; New London, Conn.)
