Armed Citizen® Today

Police responded to a call of a shooting in progress at a home in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, March 27, arriving to find a homeowner who had defended himself from an alleged intruder.

Police say that, around 9 o'clock that evening, the 59-year-old suspect forced his way into the house and assaulted the 27-year-old resident inside. The resident was armed and told officers he feared for his life, so he fired at his assailant, striking the attacker once in the stomach. First responders found the man collapsed just a few feet outside the front door of the house, and despite attempts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police told reporters that the shooting was deemed to be self-defense, and the homeowner was released from custody. (KEN5 News; San Antonio, Texas; 3/27/24)

Why the Murder Rate Quickly Fell to a Likely Historic Low

If the gun-control Left is to be believed, then the murder rate in the U.S. should be going up. After all, gun sales and ownership rates have been rising for the last few decades and anti-gun groups claim that gun ownership is the cause of violent crime. This, of course, is nonsense.
