The Armed Citizen Extra
A well-armed and cool-headed citizen assisted in the arrest of a car thief in Missoula County early one morning. The thief, who stole a Chevy Avalanche out of a homeowner's driveway, was being chased by deputies and evaded capture by careening off road. After crashing into a mailbox, the larcenist fled into a nearby house, where the homeowner discovered him hiding in the basement. The homeowner leveled his pistol at the cowering highwayman before ordering him outside so he could be arrested by the authorities. (Fox Montana, Missoula, Mont., 12/18/18)
