The afternoon of a Berwick Township, Pa., elderly couple was rudely interrupted when a nude stranger allegedly entered their home on Dec. 22, 2021.

It all started earlier that Wednesday morning when police received numerous calls of an erratic man running around the block. The man in question tried to get into a home and was banging on cars in the street, which caused traffic to stop. As the police were responding to the scene of his public disturbance, the 54-year-old man made his way to another home in the area and was able to get inside. The home belonged to a couple in their 70s, and both were home at the time.

It was then that the couple was greeted by the deranged man, with only a shirt on, inside their own home. The man attacked the husband, striking him with his fists. As he was pummeled, the husband directed his wife to get a gun from a bedroom nearby. Yet, when the wife went to the room as her husband had directed, the intruder followed her. The naked intruder then assaulted the wife. Luckily her husband wasn't far behind, and he quickly retrieved a revolver and shot at the disturbed man.

Several of the rounds hit their mark and subdued the assailant. When police arrived at the home, they found the intruder dead inside. The wife was in critical condition from the assault and had to be airlifted to a local hospital. The husband was less severely injured, but was taken to the hospital as well by an ambulance. It turned out that the intruder was a local to the area, though he had no connections with the elderly couple. (eveningsun.com, Hanover, Pa., 12/22/2021)

Two men forced their way into James Biddison's East Whiteland, Pa., home claiming to be electric company employees. When the 79-year-old resident asked for identification, the men refused and proceeded upstairs. Biddison got a shotgun from the living room and forced the men from his home.
