A 26-year-old Chicago, Ill., man defended himself when he was confronted by an aggressor on May 11, 2022.

The young man was walking to his residence that Wednesday night after 10 p.m., when a 27-year-old woman approached him. A confrontation between the two ensued, during which the woman pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the man. In response to the threat, the man drew his own licensed concealed pistol and opened fire on the would-be attacker.

One of the man's shots struck the woman in the shoulder. After firing at his aggressor, the man ran the short distance to his residence, went inside and called police. The woman was placed into custody and was treat for her shoulder wound. Police also recovered the pistol she used during the incident. (fox32chicago.com, Chicago, Ill., 05/12/2022)
