A homeowner in Dyersburg, Tenn., defended himself from an evening home invasion against a trio of suspects on April 28, according to Dyersburg Police.

The three suspects entered the home around 7:30 p.m. on that Monday, forcing the armed homeowner to defend himself. In the process, the victim shot and killed one of the suspects, a 19-year-old male, and the other two suspects fled the scene. Police responded to a call of shots fired and arrived at the home about 7:45 p.m.

The other two suspects, 18 years old and 20 years old, respectively, were arrested two days later and face charges of aggravated robbery, attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. (Action News 5; Dyersburg, Tenn.; 5/2/25)
