Smith & Wesson's new M&P10 Sport is optics-ready, and just might be the ideal entry-level AR-10 style rifle. Chambered in .308 Win./7.62x51 NATO caliber, the rifle retains the 5R rifling and a .30-cal. A2-style flash suppressor, but features a 16” barrel and a 6-position telescopic stock. It also comes equipped with ambidextrous controls and a Picatinny-style top rail and gas block, a mid-length gas operating system, and corrosion-resistant Armornite finish on both the interior and exterior of the barrel. The rifle ships with a 20-round Magpul PMAG. For more, see American Rifleman's Joe Kurtenbach fire it during Industry Day at the Range ahead of the 2018 SHOT Show, and visit smith-wesson.com.
