SHOT Show 2017: SIG Sauer P320 X-Five Pistol

Heard of an X-Five before? Well, you will. SIG Sauer has had a competition-ready X5 for a while, but that was a big steel-framed gun based on the P-Series. One of the biggest releases by far for 2017 is the P320 X-Five, a 5" gun designed with competitors—and anyone who just likes a nice, full-size 9 mm—in mind. And as polymer-framed double-action-only guns go, this one is delight to shoot.

The gun has lockwork based on the P320, but it has been upgraded with a flat-faced more in-line trigger. It has fully adjustable sights, a flared magazine well and can accept weights in the back of the grip to help tame recoil.

There are some aesthetic and ergonomic touches, too, including grasping grooves in the slide that are aligned with the grip angle, which is more straight than you typically see these days.
