Ruger And Mossberg Continue To Support Friends Of NRA

The NRA Foundation has announced Ruger and Mossberg as 2025 Defender Level Corporate Sponsors of the Friends of NRA program. Through the National Corporate Sponsor Program, Friends of NRA expands its grassroots efforts to a national platform, enabling companies to support vital programs that preserve America’s shooting and hunting heritage for generations to come.

“I am deeply grateful for Ruger’s decision to continue supporting Friends of NRA as a Defender Level Sponsor in 2025,” said James Carter, executive director of The NRA Office of Advancement. “Their ongoing dedication is critical to advancing our mission and supporting the vital initiatives of The NRA Foundation. Thank you for being a valued partner once again!” Ruger is a longtime supporter of Friends of NRA.

Rob Werkmeister, vice president of marketing at Sturm, Ruger & Co., stated, “Our sponsorship underscores our unwavering commitment to supporting The NRA Foundation’s vital efforts in providing firearms training and educational programs that uphold and strengthen America’s proud shooting and hunting heritage for generations to come.”

Mossberg also renewed their commitment to the Friends of NRA program as a Defender Level Sponsor in 2025. “Mossberg is proud to back organizations such as Friends of NRA that help preserve our nation’s values and traditions,” stated John MacLellan, vice president of sales and marketing at Mossberg. “We deeply appreciate the commitment of the many sportsmen and sportswomen who dedicate themselves to promoting the shooting sports through their participation in both national and local groups.”

“I am very appreciative of Mossberg's steadfast commitment as a Defender Level Sponsor for the Friends of NRA program in 2025,” Carter said. “Their continued generous support plays a pivotal role in driving our mission forward and bolstering the essential programs of The NRA Foundation. Together, we’re shaping a strong future for responsible gun ownership and the traditions we hold dear.”

Friends of NRA serves as the primary fundraising program for The NRA Foundation, raising over $1.1 billion since its inception in 1992 through more than 26,000 grassroots events. These funds support national, state, and local initiatives promoting firearm safety, marksmanship, conservation and education. Programs benefiting from these efforts include youth education, hunter education, law enforcement training and competitive shooting.
