Level 3A ballistic panels from NRA Tactical are made in the USA and are compliant with the National Institute of Justice. The 9"x12" Kevlar panel is capable of withstanding pistol chamberings up to .44 Mag. A 16" x 11" panel is also available. The lightweight panel fits in a briefcase, backpack or purse, and offers a high level of protection. Price: $100 (extra for the 16" x 11" panel).
