The Rifle 2 | Back To The Battlefield book

In his first book, author and Marine Corps veteran Andrew Biggio chronicled his connections with America’s surviving World War II veterans through “The Rifle,” a 1945-dated M1 Garand that would eventually become covered with the white signatures of hundreds of World War II veterans who had held the longarm and recounted their stories.

Now, in The Rifle 2: Back To The Battlefield, Biggio outlines further stories from the theaters of World War II, bolstered by veterans who not only recounted their experiences on the battlefield but also the challenges of returning home and what memory and respect means to them.

Veterans interviewed for this sequel range in age from 96 to 104, making them some of the final survivors of the “Greatest Generation.”
