Self Reliance Outfitters Pathfinder Canteen Trail Kit

The U.S.G.I. canteen and cup are classic pieces of kit due to their efficient design and durable construction, and they are practically updated in the Self Reliance Outfitters Pathfinder Canteen Trail Kit, which also includes a lid to increase the latter’s cooking efficiency.

As with the originals, the re-designed canteen nests within its cup, which has folding wire handles, and, when using a current-issue U.S.G.I. cover, the lid stores underneath.

Unlike the originals, the imported update features a wide-mouth, 39-oz.-capacity canteen made of 0.5-0.6 mm single-wall, food-grade 304 stainless steel capable of withstanding direct fire or placement in coals for boiling and disinfecting water.

In addition, the kit’s 25-oz.-capacity cup features graduation markings along with holes in the lid that serve to signal cooking progress and help strain contents.

MSRP is $40. For more information, visit selfrelianceoutfitters.com.
