Rival Arms, based in Dallas, Tex., has announced a new addition to its lines of firearm components with the R-22 Precision Chassis System for Ruger 10/22 style barreled actions. The R-22 chassis is Rival Arms first entry into the rimfire rifle market, as the company is mostly known for its handgun components. The R-22 Precision Chassis System is designed specifically for the Ruger 10/22 action, which is a favorite among the rimfire rifle community.

It can fit any 10/22 style barreled action with a 1” maximum barrel diameter, allowing the chassis to fit many of the aftermarket barrel options available for the platform. The R-22 is CNC-machined from billet aluminum, which offers consistency to the bedding and strength. Single-piece construction also helps in reducing the overall weight while maintaining rigidity.

The aluminum machined chassis weighs in at only 1 lb., reducing the weight of the overall 10/22 platform it is mounted to compared to other precision chassis options. It includes scalloped texturing on the fore-end for an improved grip along with 11 integral M-LOK compatible slots on the bottom and sides for the attachment of rail segments and other accessories. The fore-end is tapped on the front of the bottom grip area to accept a sling swivel stud for either sling or bipod attachment.

The R-22 chassis is threaded at the rear to accept 1 3/16” mil-spec AR-15 style buffer tubes and the wide verity of telescoping stocks that attach to them. It is also compatible with AR-15 aftermarket pistol grips. Three color options are available for the R-22 chassis, including KG GunKote Flat Dark Earth, Satin Gray and a hard-black anodized finish. The MSRP of the Rival Arms R-22 Precision Chassis System is $255. For more information on the R-22 chassis, visit rival-arms.com.
