Poncho

A pioneer in consumer backpacks and tents, Kelty also produces gear for the U.S. military that complies with the Berry Amendment. One of the more unique examples from Kelty is the Fieldcraft Poncho, which can also be configured as a litter/stretcher, hammock or shelter. The all-U.S.-made Fieldcraft is constructed from MultiCam-pattern 70 denier nylon fabric that is fully polyurethane-coated and treated for infrared concealment.

Kelty provides four sewn-in carry handles with its Fieldcraft Poncho that allow for one-person dragging or two-person lifting of an injury victim. In addition, sleeves are sewn to the Poncho that are designed to accommodate litter poles for easy two-person carry over long distances.

Webbing, rope and carabiners are included for rigging as a hammock. Integral snaps allow users to roll and seal the included head hood to combat inclemate weather and allow the unit to be combined with others to increase shelter size. A series of grommets are included for rigging, tie-off and shelter making.

The Fieldcraft measures 86"x54" and weighs 1 lb., 10 ozs. and retails for $245. For more information, please visit kelty.com.
