Accessory purveyor R&S Precision Sports of Pahrump, Nev., recently acquired the Buffer Technologies brand of polymer, shock-absorbing firearm action inserts.

Designed to minimize abrupt metal-to-metal contact, the buffers help mitigate felt recoil and minimize component wear. The lightweight, inexpensive inserts are available for a wide variety of rimfire and center-fire semi-automatic handguns and rifles, and are easily inserted without tools during routine fieldstripping.

The suggested retail price on the buffers ranges from $10-$23, depending on your firearm.
