Used and popularized by Gunsite Academy in Paulden, Ariz.—a firearm training center born of Col. Jeff Cooper’s vision and home of the Modern Technique of the Pistol—the Gunsite Option Target is an excellent training aid for defense-minded shooters of all abilities. The distinctive camouflage pattern subdues the borders around the “chest” and smaller “head” target areas, requiring excellent front sight focus and trigger discipline to make effective shots. The target areas are also well-designed to mimic “vital areas,” were this 18”x30” paper target actually a two-legged, six-shot-wielding varmint. This week, Lock, Stock & Barrel is heading to the range with Gunsite Option Targets, and you can expect to see more of them in future videos.
