NRA Executive Wayne LaPierre accepted gun-control advocate Mark Kelly's nomination to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, the proceeds of which go to raise funds and awareness for the incurable disease. Kelly, who is married to former Arizona congresswoman Gabby Giffords, participated in the challenge with Giffords standing by. Under contest rules that allow three subsequent nominations, Kelly called out LaPierre as one of his three. LaPierre then had 24 hours to record himself being doused by a bucket of ice water.
