Smith Wesson Mp 57 Handgun F

Smith & Wesson expanded its M&P lineup in 2023 with a novel offering chambered for the flat-shooting 5.7x28 mm FN cartridge. The new S&W M&P5.7 is a full-size handgun with a 22-round magazine capacity and an all-new operating system for the company's that's designed to maximize effectiveness while minimizing recoil.

"The M&P5.7 is an exciting new pistol from Smith & Wesson that incorporates a gas-operated Tempo Barrel System to effectively harness the 5.7x28 mm round, creating a lighter recoil for an overall better shooting experience," said Andrew Gore, product manager, handguns. "Like all Smith & Wesson firearms, this M&P 5.7 is proudly made entirely in the USA and is backed by the Smith & Wesson Limited Lifetime Service Policy. Whatever your purpose, the M&P5.7 is versatile, fun and a must-have."

At the heart of the design is the 5" Tempo barrel, which is a locked-breech, gas-operated, rotating assembly, which does not cam until the bullet passes the gas port, initiating the unlocking process. In addition to harnessing extra capability from each fired round, the system also provides for fast, easy extraction after unlocking.

Other key features of the Smith & Wesson M&P5.7 include an optics-ready slide, as well as a threaded and capped muzzle for suppressor use. The gun also features a flat-face trigger, as well as a Picatinny accessory rail and slide serrations at the front and rear.

Each M&P5.7 ships with two 22-round magazines, and the suggested retail price on the gun is $699. For more information, visit smith-wesson.com.
