MasterPiece Arms (MPA) is set to offer its version of the popular pistol-caliber carbine (PCC): The AR9 PCC. MPA’s latest semi-automatic carbine is derived from the the AR-15, and as such, the AR9 PCC provides its operators with the familiarity of the AR and the benefit of a companion carbine that fires 9 mm Luger while using Glock-pattern magazines.

The AR9 PCC features a receiver set machined from 7075 aluminum that is designed to accommodate common AR-15 parts, such as the charging handle, buttstock and trigger assembly. A low-profile handguard surrounds a button-rifled 416R stainless steel barrel, 16”-long, that is threaded 1/2x36 t.p.i. for accessories. The muzzle of the AR9 PCC comes capped with the company’s multi-port compensator that features a Cerakote finish for protection from the elements.

Blowback operation of the 9 mm Luger cartridge functions the AR9 PCC and MPA includes a buffer system that is optimized for the chambering. A proprietary bolt carrier group is optioned with a plunger ejector and heavy-duty claw extractor that has been further optimized for the carbine, which reduces the moving internal mass and provides for a smooth-shooting experience. The gun's multi-position buttstock, along with QD sockets for slings and M-Lok slots for accessories, further add to the versatility of this pistol-caliber carbine.

Hardcoat black-anodizing is found on the aluminum components, along with a Cerakote finish that affords a two-tone appearance—Cerakote finish options are available in Blue, MPA Green, Red and Black, the latter provides a solid-matching color throughout. The receiver and handguard are topped with Picatinny rail for optics and accessories. A machined-aluminum S2 grip is furnished with the lower receiver. Additionally, MPA has flared the magazine well to expedite reloads.

MSRP of the AP9 PCC is set for $1,499. To learn more about the optics- and suppressor-ready AR9 PCC from MasterPiece Arms, visit the company website HERE.
