Lyman Sonicore Suppressors Lineup F

After the NFA's tax stamp cost officially dropped to $0 for suppressors on Jan. 1, 2026, firearm enthusiasts overwhelmed the ATF's eForm system with hundreds of thousands of applications. As 2026 shapes up to be the "Year Of The Suppressor," firearm manufacturers are racing their new designs to market, and one of the most affordable options out of the gate is Lyman Products' Sonicore line of suppressors.

Sonicore is a European design, and Lyman is bringing the concept to U.S. shores, building and selling a complete line of suppressors with MSRPs that have to be seen to be believed. Here's a quick rundown on the full lineup:

Skarv 22
The Skarv 22 is a modular pistol and rifle rimfire suppressor. Extremely lightweight at just 3.2 ounces, the design is machined out of 6026-T9 aluminum and finished with an all-black, hardcoat-anodizing. It's also designed to be user-serviceable, and the knurling on the outside of the suppressor allows for a firm grip when installing and also helps to dissipate heat by increasing surface area. A direct-thread 1/2-28 TPI mount allows for easy installation on most rimfire pistols and rifles with threaded barrels.

Valor 9
The Valor 9 is a 9 mm pistol suppressor constructed of 6026-T9 aluminum and treated with an all-black, hardcoat anodized finish. From the factory, the Valor 9 ships with eight baffles, but the design is completely modular so users can remove baffles in order to tailor the suppressor to their specific use. Each module screws together with left-handed threading in order to decrease any chance of them loosening under firing.

A knurled finish allows for great heat dissipation as well as a firm grip when installing or removing it from a threaded barrel. The Valor 9 comes in two thread patterns, 1/2-28 TPI and M13.5x1.0 LH, to fit the majority of 9 mm handguns on the market. It includes integrated booster system and ships with a piston in the user's thread pitch of choice.

Rekkr DT & OB
The Rekkr DT is a direct-thread suppressor designed for higher volume shooting, with a lightweight and modular design machined from 6026-T9 aluminum and 303 stainless steel, and finished with an all-black, hardcoat anodizing. The modular design allows the user to shorten the suppressor when compactness is a higher priority than sound suppression. The walls of the Rekkr are thicker than the Paradox to allow for maximum durabilty, but the design is not full-auto-rated.

The Rekkr is kept fairly lightweight with the use of aluminum baffle modules in combination with 303 stainless steel baffle inserts to create a steel “core,” which keeps the weight down to 14.6 ounces. An integrated stainless steel muzzle brake spins gas in a way to continuously tighten the suppressor onto a firearm's muzzle. The OB model is designed to mount over the barrel of a host firearm, and the step down at the rear portion of the suppressor accommodates the inner diameters of most AR-15 handguards.

Rekkr suppressors are available in 223 (up to .224-inch diameter) and 30 (up to .308-inch diameter) configurations and have 1/2-28 and 5/8-24 TPI direct-thread mounting interfaces.

Paradox DT & OB
The Paradox DT is a direct-thread suppressor, with a lightweight and modular design machined from 6026-T9 aluminum and 303 stainless steel, finished with an all-black, hardcoat-anodized treatment. Like the Rekkr, the Paradox's modular design allows the user to shorten the can when maneuverability is more essential, and the Paradox’s lightweight design achieved through the use of aluminum baffle modules combined with 303 stainless steel baffle inserts, like the Rekkr suppressors, but the thinner walls of the Paradox cut down on weight, and the Paradox weighs in at just 13 ounces in its full configuration. Sonicore markets the Paradox as "a perfect, lightweight and effective option for hunters."

Like the Rekkr, the Paradox is available in 223 and 30 configurations with the same direct-thread mounting options. An OB model for the Paradox is also available to cut down on overall length.

While exact MSRPs for each model are still to come, Lyman Products promises that pricing will range from $199 to $299, depending on model. For more information, visit lymanproducts.com.
