Gunsite Academy

A recent celebration at Gunsite Academy recognized American Rifleman Field Editor Wiley Clapp for his many accomplishments in the firearm industry. Clapp has been an industry notable for decades, having brought to bear his experience as a decorated Marine, Vietnam combat veteran and 18-year employee of the Orange County, Calif., sheriff’s department in his writings on firearms, self-defense and more.

Topping off the celebratory atmosphere, Gunsite’s owner and president, Buz Mills, honored Clapp by re-naming one of the academy’s classrooms. The Wiley Clapp Training Room will host generations of future trainees, all of whom will benefit from Gunsite’s extensive lineup of training classes. Please visit gunsite.com for more information.
