‘World War II Snipers: The Men, Their Guns, Their Stories’

A Casemate Publishers Illustrated Special, World War II Snipers by Gary Yee takes what is already a well-researched deep dive into the specifics of sniper training, employment and equipment to a new level.

The fully illustrated book is replete with hundreds of period photographs, as well as numerous illustrations and diagrams. In two parts, Yee focuses on the selection of the men and their training regimen, followed by the bulk of the work, which understandably focuses on snipers in combat across numerous theaters and nations.

A final, third part focuses exclusively on the guns used, with dozens of pages of highly detailed photographs of specific sniping rifles employed by different nations. Additionally, interspersed throughout the book are explanatory sections that cover the arms used by the nation being discussed. MSRP is $50. For more information, visit casematepublishers.com.
