New Shotguns 2024 F

SHOT Show saw the release of many notable new guns, and for shotgunners, 2024 looks pretty bright from every angle. Whether you're into classic platforms or looking for the latest field shotgun, there's something for everyone in our round-up of new shotguns.

Benelli Ethos SuperSport Performance Shop
Benelli USA is providing more capability out of a 12-gauge shotgun with its new Ethos SuperSport Performance Shop model in 2024. Key to this new design is its Advanced Impact Barrel, which is overbored and contoured on the inside to improve shot patterning and performance, particularly at longer ranges. At 30 yards, this new design is said to provide 21 percent greater velocity and 36 percent more energy at 30 yards compared to previous Benelli barrels.

Browning A5 20-Gauge
For fans of semi-automatic shotguns, the Browning A5 is one of the classic designs, and one of the most-requested additions to the A5 lineup has been a 20-gauge model, which is now available. Using Browning's recoil-operated Kinematic Drive system, the A5 20-gauge is built on a smaller frame, which makes it slimmer and more than a pound lighter than the equivalent 12-ga. model.

Franchi Affinity Sport 3 Trap
Franchi's aiming for the newcomer market in 2024 with its Sport 3 Trap, a semi-automatic shotgun designed to provide everything the new shotgunner needs while also being loaded with features that would even attract veteran trap shooters. The Sport 3 Trap uses an inertia-driven action and is built with the Omni stock, offering cast, drop and length-of-pull adjustments. Chambered for 3" 12-ga. shotshells, the gun is outfitted with a 30" barrel and includes oversized controls and a stepped, ventilated sighting rib.

Heritage Mfg. Badlander
Heritage Mfg. has expanded its lineup in 2024 with its Badlander side-by-side shotgun. The design stays true to Heritage's Old West roots, with a traditional double-trigger design and stained walnut furniture. The two 18.5" barrels and boxlock action are treated with a black chrome coating. A brass bead front sight allows for easy, intuitive aiming, and an easily accessible tang safety sits just behind the gun's opening lever.

Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical Thunder Ranch Series
Mossberg worked with Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch to build what he considers to be "the best personal defense shotguns." The 940 Pro Tactical is treated with a Cerakote Patriot Brown finish, an optic-ready receiver that accepts Shield RMSc-pattern sights, a fiber-optic front sight and a barrel clamp with M-Lok mounting slots. Of course, all the original features of the 940 Pro Tactical are included, and the gun relies on a new gas-vent system that provides reliable operation.

Stoeger M3000 Signature Series
Few understand Stoeger's long, rich history as a manufacturer, and to highlight the point and celebrate the company's centenary, Stoeger is marking the occasion with its M3000 Signature Series. At its core, the nickel-plated receiver is finished with scroll engraving. The finely finish receiver is set off by the high-polish blued 28" barrel. A set of satin walnut furniture completes the attractive package. This commemorative edition isn't just for looks either. It boasts Stoeger's reliable inertia-driven system, as well as a 3" chamber and fiber-optic sights for easy sighting.

Within the firearm world, shotguns are some of the most versatile tools for hunting, home defense and sport shooting, and this year's latest introductions only further that truth. Stay tuned as American Rifleman continues to call out the newest notable introductions in the shotgun world.
