Thanks to the Gun Genius engine powered by GunBroker.com, we've got a unique glimpse into a few stats that show sales statistics for many of today's popular handguns. Now that we've crossed over into 2020, it's time to take a look at the best-selling handguns over the past year. Without further ado, here they are:

5. SIG Sauer P320

It turns out that the U.S. Military isn't the only group that likes SIG Sauer's popular P320 platform. Years after its adoption as the military's official sidearm, the P320 continues to make the top five list of best-selling handguns in the country. Of course, it probably helps that there are many variations of the gun available to suit consumer needs, ranging from subcompact CCW models to lengthened, competition-ready options.

4. Glock G43

With the number of CCW permits on the rise, it's no surprise that the Glock G43 continues to be a hot seller, coming in at No. 4 on our list of best-selling guns of 2019. Single-stack nines have been popular CCW guns for many consumers, thanks to their slim dimensions and suitable 9 mm chambering.

3. Kel-Tec PMR-30

Here's possibly our first surprise in the top five. The Kel-Tec PMR-30 enters the list as the third most-popular handgun sold in 2019. Actually, it might not be so surprising at all. Holding an incredible 30 rounds of .22 WMR in a magazine, the PMR-30 is easy to shoot, and the .22 WMR round is no slouch, though we wouldn't recommend counting on it for personal defense.

2. Glock G26

Another interesting addition to the top five handguns sold in 2019 is the Glock G26. A subcompact, double-stack handgun chambered in 9 mm, the popularity of the Glock G26 is probably helped by several factors. The first is the growing number of armed citizens demanding a dedicated concealed-carry gun, and the subcompact G26 is smaller and more easily carried than the Glock G19, its bigger sibling. The popularity of the G26 is helped also by the rollout of a refined Gen 5 model in 2018.

1. SIG Sauer P365

The top slot for best-selling handgun of 2019, according to the GunBroker Gun Genius, belongs to the SIG Sauer P365. Likely, this result shocks nobody, as the P365 made waves in the concealed-carry world at its introduction. As the world's first so-called "Micro Compact," the 9 mm P365 used a unique, stagger-stack magazine design to cram more rounds into a small, slim frame comparable in size to many of today's single-stack nines.
