If you’ve ever wondered who makes the most rifles in your area, the answer is found in BATFE’s “Annual Firearms Manufacturing and Export Report.” This latest one covers 2014 and is a little stale, although it’s interesting because there are some surprises and some of the companies aren’t exactly household names. Here’s the distilled list, alphabetically, along with the number of rifles produced and convenient links to each website—if they’re still in business and we could find one.

New 4.4-Mile Shooting Record Set In Wyoming

A new long-distance shooting record of 4.4 miles was set September 13 in western Wyoming by a shooter who requested anonymity. Scott Austin and Shepard Humphries, managers at Nomad Rifleman, near Jackson Hole, Wyo., coordinated the massive undertaking that included a support team at the firing line and multiple spotters downrange to call impacts and document/verify the shot.
