New for 2021 is the Mossberg International Gold Reserve series of over-under shotguns. Mossberg International, a subsidiary of the Mossberg Corporation launched in 2002, is poised to provide an upper-level series of hinge-action, over-under shotguns under the International moniker.

Mossberg International Gold Reserve
The Gold Reserve series over over-under shotguns are well-appointed and feature-rich break-action shotguns that include three sub-models at time of unveiling: Sporting, Black Label Sporting (blued receiver) and Super Sport. All three models feature 3” chambers, regardless of gauge; .410 Bore, 20- and 12-ga. will be offered.

The boxlock over-under Gold Reserve line offers shooters competition-ready guns that are optioned for 28” or 30” chrome-lined steel barrels and threaded. Five extended chokes are supplied. Mossberg International supplies a 10 mm-wide sighting rib with a front bead for reference. Gold Reserve Sporting guns provides a polished, silver-colored receiver with engraved accents. The gun’s safety and barrel selector are mounted along the receiver tang below the top lever. Once open, a set of ejectors attached to the monobloc are activated. Jeweling within the action is supplied, too, which adds visual flair and increases functionality.

These latest boxlock shotguns feature distinctive scroll patterns and 24-carat gold inlay on the receiver’s bottom. Included is hand-picked, black walnut furniture, Grade-A with a satin finish, that exhibits sought-after grain structure and figure to provide target shooters and hunters with form, function and curb appeal. Cut checkering along the wrist and fore-end are also added for comfort and control. The Gold Reserve guns feature a near-vertical grip that is designed for optimum hand placement for speedy target acquisition.

Mossberg International Gold Reserve Super Sport
The break-action Gold Reserve Super Sport models will feature the same Grade-A black walnut the series is known to provide with enhancements tailored specifically to the top-tier competitive shooter. The Super Sport buttstock houses components that enable shooters to customize fit. An adjustable comb is supplied, along with a mechanical length-of-pull adjustment, 13” to 15”. Cast adjustments may also be made. Mossberg supplies a fiber-optic front sight and 30” chrome-lined steel barrels here, too.
