New for 2020, Stoeger is releasing a new family of shotguns in the P3000 Freedom Series Supreme. The Freedom series of pump-action shotguns borrows off the design of the previous P3000 series and feature extended magazines for increase capacity while maintaining 922r compliance. They are chambered for 12 ga. Using 2.75” or 3” magnum loads. The extended tube-magazine offers a capacity of seven shells. It has a single-choke option with a fixed cylinder, intended for more tactical-style orientation.

The Freedom series incorporates select U.S.-manufactured components in its furniture. The most notable of these features is the side-folding six-position telescoping stock offering 3” to 0.75” of adjustment. The stock folds to the left, away from the chamber to allow use when the stock is folded.

The stock also has and adjustable cheek-rest so that the user can better adjust to the sights or use higher mounted reflex-sights. The series uses a rubberized pistol grip for ease of use and increased maneuverability. The pump fore-end is checkered to provide improved grip, a benefit when using harder-recoiling 3” magnum loads.

Surrounding the front sight are large wings to ensure that the sight is not damaged if the gun is dropped. The rear sight is a ghost ring to provide fast acquisition and visibility on target. It also sports a Picatinny rail segment on top of the receiver for mounting reflex sights. The Freedom series also incorporates several sling-attachment points to allow multiple carry configurations, depending on the user’s preference.

The Freedom series come with a 18.5” barrel, giving the shotgun an overall length of 40.5” with the stock extended. The barrel features a blued finish. The overall empty weight of the freedom series comes in at 7.3 lbs. The length of pull with the stock extended is 14.12”. The Freedom series comes with a five-year warranty from the company. MSRP is $469. For more information on the P3000 Freedom Series Supreme please visit stoegerindustries.com.
