Building on the popularity of the company's Military Collector series, FN America excited fans of unique special-operations guns with the launch of a civilian variant of the SCAR 20 SSR: the SCAR 20S. Initially, this gun was available in .308 Win. only, but FN America expanded its offerings in 2020 with a new model in a hugely popular caliber: 6.5 Creedmoor.
With this new chambering, the FN America SCAR 20S becomes a great gas gun for those shooters looking to ring steel at extended distances. The gun features the SCAR's signature gas-piston system, which is paired with a 20-inch barrel and a SureFire ProComp muzzle compensator that reduces muzzle rise and allows shooters to keep their target within their optic's sight picture.
Other features found in the SCAR 20S include a lengthened receiver extrusion, which provides generous room for optics mounting, as well as additional accessory-attachment points on the sides and bottom of the receiver. The gun also features ambidextrous controls and is outfitted with a two-stage Geissele Super SCAR trigger that aids in sending accurate shots downrange.
