Messing with a motorcyclist is never a wise policy, but some folks just have to learn things the hard way. So it was with an intoxicated Largo man, who, after yelling at a motorcyclist to "slow down," punched him through the open visor of his helmet. The cyclist fell over, and was briefly pinned to the pavement by his motorbike, during which time his attacker rounded the fallen vehicle toward him. Thinking he would be attacked again, the motorist got to his feet and began backing away from the man for approximately 20 to 30 yards, warning him that he had a concealed-carry permit. Undeterred, however, his attacker moved his hand under his vest, at which point the motorcyclist drew his pistol and shot him. The attacker was in serious condition at a local hospital, and reportedly was found to be wearing a belt sheath containing a six-inch knife under his vest. (wfla.com, Largo, Fa., 5/31/19)
