Leupold & Stevens Inc. has announced a limited edition VX-Freedom riflescope. This release coincides with the beginning of the 148th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Indianapolis.

Featuring a patriotic Cerakote finish provided by the Leupold Custom Shop, only 150 of the special-edition VX-Freedom “Stars & Stripes” riflescopes will be offered. They’ll be available through Leupold’s Custom Shop or in-person at Leupold’s booth on the NRA Annual Meetings show floor. The cap over the windage adjustment dial has been emblazoned with the NRA logo.

“Leupold has always been an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment and the rights it guarantees our team members and consumers alike,” said Bruce Pettet, president and chief executive officer for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “The limited edition "Stars and Stripes" VX-Freedom is a chance for us to pay tribute both to our nation, and the hard work of the National Rifle Association—all with an optic that has been designed, machined, and assembled right here in the United States.”

Each "Stars & Stripes’ scope will feature a special American flag Cerakote design and the NRA logo windage adjustment cap. Each scope will be individually numbered, between 1 and 150, and available only while supplies last.

The ‘Stars & Stripes" scope is a VX-Freedom AR 3-9X 40 mm with TMR (Tactical Milling Reticle). It has 0.1 MRAD/click adjustments to match the MRAD increments of the reticle. Military-spec lens coatings provide abrasion resistance, and pair with an ergonomically advanced power-selector ring that, while low-profile, still provides exceptional grip and ease of use. VX-Freedom riflescopes are also designed for low-light situations, thanks to the proprietary Leupold Twilight Light Management System. A combination of lens coatings and physical design elements in the riflescope itself, the Twilight Light Management System helps shooters make the most of low-light conditions found at dawn and dusk. Like all of the company’s riflescopes, the VX-Freedom is backed by Leupold’s legendary Full Lifetime Guarantee.
