When gun designer Nicholas Brewer designed the Savage Model 110 in 1958, he likely had no idea how relevant it would remain some 60 years later. The 110 is very much alive and well today, despite slight changes that evolved from technology, materials and market trends. The Model 110 Storm is a long-action, all-weather rifle chambered in the venerable .30-’06 Sprg., boasting the newest revelation from Savage: AccuFit, a synthetic stock design that allows shooters to customize both the rifle’s length of pull and comb height quickly and easily while in the field with only a Phillips-head screwdriver. A detachable-box magazine is also incorporated. Check out our NRA Gun of the Week video above to hear what American Rifleman’s Kelly Young has to say about the new Savage Model 110 Storm.
