Designed for everyday carry and, more importantly, everyday use, the Surefire Tactician flashlight (E2T-MV) derives its versatility from a duo of dual features. First, the light is capable of producing 800 lumens for long-range viewing or tactical/defensive situations, or it can be dialed backedwith a quarter-turn of the bezel—to just 5 lumens for more mundane tasks and extended battery life. (Two CR123 batteries power the dual-output MaxVision Beam, characterized by its broad, solid light projection.) As well, the Tactician has two modes of operation: Press the tailcap for momentary-on, or twist for a constant beam. The flashlight is 5” long, weighs 3.5 ozs. and features the durable aluminum construction for which Surefire products are known. Check out this week's NRA Gun Gear of the Week video as Joe Kurtenbach runs through the Tactician’s features and takes it for a test on the range.
