Taurus has expanded its 1911 lineup to include an Officer and Commander models, both chambered in .45 ACP.

The 6 + 1 round Officer model (above) features a 3 1/2” barrel and an overall length of 7.2”, making it the shortest in the Taurus 1911 lineup. The pistol, designed for concealed carry, features a discreet black on black finish, Novak drift adjustable front and rear sights, and checkered black grips.

The Commander model (above) offers an 8+1 capacity, and features a shorter profile than traditional full-size 1911s. With a barrel length of 4.2”, it still maintains a full-size grip, lending itself to concealed carry, as well as self-defense in the home. The pistol features a monochromatic black on black finish, Novak drift adjustable front and rear sights, checkered black grips and extended beavertail. Built with industry-standard components, the Commander is readily customizable.
