When a burglar made himself at home in someone else’s residence, he found himself in a sticky situation. A New Mexico man, who has a home security system linked to his phone, saw a stranger break into his house. The video showed the intruder trying on clothes and watching television, among other things. The resident came home and enlisted the help of some neighbors, who had two guns. The homeowner parked his car to block automotive exit from his cul-de-sac, and his armed neighbors went to his home. They entered the house and announced they were armed. After telling the perpetrator to get on his knees, they bound his hands and feet with duct tape and waited for the police to arrive. Early one Saturday evening, an intruder broke into a home with the intention of robbing the place. Alarmed from the disturbance, the homeowner confronted the trespasser, who then deployed a Taser on the homeowner several times. Eventually, the homeowner was able to retrieve his gun and shoot the robber, killing him. (abc15.com, Kingman, AZ, 5/28/17)

In Fort Worth, a bandit strode into a liquor store, pulled open his coat to reveal a pistol under his belt, and told proprietor E.R. Alexander to give him all the money. “I was ready for him,” said Alexander. “I pulled my .38 from under the counter and started firing.” The bandit managed to get off one wild, bottle-smashing shot and staggered toward the door with a bullet in his chest.
