OD Green has been a staple color on Steyr Arms' polymer furniture for nearly 50 years—in particular the AUG rifle—and now, thanks in large part to the overwhelming number of requests from U.S. shooters, Steyr has added the M9-A1 pistol to its lineup of firearms to boast the finish.

The M9-A1 is the full-size offering in Steyr's pistol line, featuring a 4" cold-hammer-forged barrel, a high grip and an extremely low bore axis that mitigates muzzle rise, as well as a grip angle optimal for a natural point of aim. On the bottom of the frame's dust cover is a Picatinny rail for mounting a light or laser. An integrated trigger safety with a Reset Action System trigger requires positive finger pressure to operate, and also incorporates a keyed safety lock.

MSRP: $560

Standing Guard | Standing on the Line for Freedom

This past August marks 46 years since I raised my right hand and was commissioned as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps.
