Just after 11 a.m. one day, a bad guy in Colerain Township, Ohio, walked out with more than he bargained for after an armed robbery. Witnesses said a man wearing dark clothing and a black hat entered the lobby and demanded their money. Bank workers complied, but a concealed-carry permit holder took a stand. The alleged criminal and the customer exchanged fire. The suspect left the scene wounded, with no other injuries or casualties reported. (Cincinnati Enquirer, Cincinnati, OH, 5/23/17)

The Armed Citizen® Extra
An 11-year-old boy and three male family members were walking through the forest when a bear appeared and charged them, pushing two of the men to the ground and heading straight for the other. The bear was instantly on top of the man, who didn’t have enough time to unsling his rifle. That’s when the boy raised his pump shotgun and shot the bear, and with help from his uncle, downed him with three shots. (The Seattle Times, Hoonah, AK, 7/1/17)
