American Rifleman TV Exclusive: Colt Gold Cup

The Colt Gold Cup, the company's premier competition pistol, is back and in stainless steel.

American Rifleman's Mark Keefe went to the range with Colt professional shooter Mark Redl to go over the features of the stainless gun. It comes out of the box with a National Match barrel (full contour for the 9 mm Luger), an undercut trigger guard and 25 line-per-inch checkering on the front strap and on the mainspring housing. Sights are a fully adjustable rear and a red fiber-optic front, and the slide has a Novak cut so you can put anything you want onto the new Gold Cup. Also, the gun has a beveled magazine well and Colt’s new dual recoil springs. In 9 mm, the gun barely moves.
