Looking to diversify your defensive tools? Pay close attention—the TriStar KRX Tactical is an AR-15-inspired, self-loading shotgun that offers an efficient platform in defensive scenarios. This scattergun ships with a five-round, detachable box magazine, removable chokes and is outfitted with ample sections of Picatinny rail to accommodate a wide variety of accessories. We removed the factory carry handle with integral sights in favor of an economically priced red-dot from Lucid. As a gas-operated shotgun, the KRX Tactical works well. If you're looking to run subsonic ammunition in the KRX Tactical, you're better off sticking with standard loads, which function flawlessly. Watch the video as American Rifleman's Kelly Young gets closer look.
