A mother will stop at nothing to protect her child. Such was the case with one woman who heard someone breaking through a window in her baby’s room in the middle of the day. When she heard the ruckus, she retrieved a gun and headed to the baby’s room. When she encountered the intruder, he raised his gun and fired twice at her, missing both shots. The woman fired back and hit the criminal multiple times. He was later taken to the hospital in serious condition. The incident was the second time in one month someone had tried to break in to the home. (The Indy Channel, Indianapolis, IN, 3/24/16)
