For a generation, Colt's Gold Cup set the standard for what a match pistol should be. And then it didn't. Colt Senior Vice President Paul Spitale spent more than $3,000 sending his personal Gold Cup to different gunsmiths trying to turn his Gold Cup into the gun it should have been all along when it left the factory. And that may have just been in shipping to Bill Wilson.

Spitale is the new sheriff in town at Colt, and he wanted the factory to build the Gold Cup he wanted out of the box decades ago. The new Gold Cup delivers on the promise Spittle expected then and expects now, and it's available from your local dealer.
