SHOT Show 2017: SIG Sauer Match-Grade Ammunition

by
posted on January 16, 2017
SIG Sauer may be new to the ammunition business, but its products have proven to be stellar performers. Now SIG Sauer is on the edge of a rapid expansion of capability for making its own cartridge cases—important if a company wants to secure its supply chain. Short term, SIG has new match rifle loads for the 5.56x45 mm (.223), the 7.62x51 mm (.308) and the 300 Winchester Magnum. The company's engineers spend a considerable amount of time optimizing the ideal powder for each bullet weight. If the accuracy of previous standard SIG Sauer loads is anything to judge, this is a very promising development.
